The Covid Prevention Program (CPP) is a community-academic collaboration between FHCSD and San Diego State University to test a novel tailored behavioral intervention to reduce household and subsequent community spread of COVID-19. CPP is an NIH-funded randomized clinical study that uses theory- and evidence-based strategies for behavior change and maximizes the use of mobile phone application and technologies to capture real-time behavioral, social, and contextual data. The intervention is delivered by Community Health Workers, also known as Promotores/as, who provide tailored strategies to patients’ home environment/context and social/emotional needs.
