Study Summary

Goal-Oriented Activity for Latinos with Spine Pain project is an SDSU-based research project co-led by Drs. Sara Gombatto and Katrina Monroe. The aim is to study the efficacy of a culturally adapted tele-rehabilitation program for Latinos with chronic low back and neck pain. The 8-week hybrid telerehabilitation intervention includes goal setting, practicing balanced thinking, engaging in rest and activity, and managing setbacks. The study consisted of in-person visits and telephone calls with a physical therapist, along with a targeted home exercise program.
