Family Health Centers of San Diego researchers collaborated with the San Diego State University HealthLINK Center for Transdisciplinary Health Disparities Research Center Community Engagement Core to build sustainable academic-community partnerships to improve minority health and reduce health disparities among Hispanic/Latino, sexual and gender minority, and lower-income populations. FHCSD supports the implementation of existing research and pilot projects, including the review and development of new project ideas, finalization of electronic health record data protocols, and collaboration on dissemination products. In addition, FHCSD hosts a Scientist-in-Residence each year to develop ideas for collaborative research in an area of mutual interest.
