Catatonia Autoantibody and Genetic Analysis to Enhance Diagnostic Rates

The CATALYST study was funded by the Brain and Behavior Research Foundation through a young investigator award to Dr. Aaron Besterman. This is a collaboration with Dr. Jonathan Santoro at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. The purpose of this study is to evaluate whether advanced testing, including genome sequencing (GS) and sequential autoantibody screening, yields more effective identification of the underlying causes of catatonia than traditional medical tests.
