Infectious Disease Research

LRRI leads community-based infectious disease research to understand, prevent and treat conditions such as COVID-19, Long COVID, hepatitis C and HIV. Our work examines how infections emerge, spread, and adapt as well as how social, clinical, and environmental factors shape outcomes. Understanding how infectious diseases interact with real-world clinical systems is essential for improving public health. Through technology-enabled care, multisite collaboration and ECHO-based learning, we aim to strengthen early detection, advance equitable pathways to care, and transform how frontline clinics respond to outbreaks and chronic post-viral conditions.
